WorldSleep organizes sleep knowledge and industry information about products, services, spaces and technologies for the public, businesses and industry professionals.
The World Sleep Center (WSC) initiated the World Sleep Industry Classification (WSIC) and the World Sleep Industry Technology System (WSIT). These initiatives aim to help participants describe industry categories, technical characteristics and application boundaries through a shared framework.
WSIC classifies industry elements; WSIT develops references for describing and applying technologies. The two initiatives have complementary roles and are intended for voluntary use.

A technical language for communication across disciplines
WSIC and WSIT are independently initiated classification and technical reference frameworks. They are not national, industry or international standards, have no administrative binding force and do not replace existing medical, engineering, product or service disciplines.

Clarify the relationship between services, technologies and products when describing and documenting service processes.
